These competition style bronze bushings will give you that firm feel shifting you have been looking for. They fit: All Miata and MX-5 5-Speed's from 1990-2005 and 1999-2005 6-Speed Miata!

Mazda changed the design of the 6-speed transmission somewhere in between the 2001 and 2002 model years. So if you have a 2001-2002 6-speed, please check your VIN before ordering your shifter rebuild kit. If the last six digits of your VIN are below 220738, then you have the "small" ball shifter. If the last six digits of your VIN are above 220739, you have the "large" ball shifter.

ATTENTION! Please understand before purchasing this bushing that the bronze bushings DO NOT have a snap-in fit like the OEM plastic bushings! Metal does not flex like plastic, so these bushings are designed in such a way to eliminate the "floating" nature of the OEM bushing. The bushings will not be the same as the OEM bushing except for the material, they are completely redesigned to replace and improve on the OEM plastic bushings' design.
