New '99-'05 Mazda Miata 5X Racing Adjustable Timing Wheel (V2)

The 5X Racing Version 2 has arrived! Dyno tested and proven to add 5+ HP and 6+ ft/lbs of TQ! The original wheel had an adjustment range from 10 degrees BTDC (oem locked setting) to 16 degrees BTDC, which worked great for people looking only to advance their timing. The wheel was originally designed for Spec Miata racers that need to advance their timing, not retard it. We saw the need in the marketplace for a wheel that allowed both advancing the timing, AND retarding the timing. SO, our new wheel was designed to allow an adjustment range from 6 degrees BTDC to 16 degrees BTDC to accommodate EVERYBODY out there, not just naturally aspirated engines! So if you purchase our wheel and install it on your naturally aspirated 99-05 Miata, you can go ahead and buy that turbo kit later on down the road and retard your timing with the same wheel.

Ever wonder how to adjust the timing on your 1999-2005 Mazda Miata? Surprisingly you cannot adjust the factory timing by clocking a cam sensor like previous Miata's, until now. By simply replacing the factory timing encoder (timing) wheel that sits behind your crankshaft pulley with our specially designed slotted wheel, you can advance or retard your factory timing to meet your desired tuning needs. Originally designed for racing, this wheel will work perfectly for your stock street Miata and allow you to advance your timing to achieve better performance, or retard your timing to accommodate a turbocharger.
