These gaskets are for the rear deck latches on your hardtop and protect the striker plates when taking your hardtop on and off. They will also prevent excess rattling from the latches. This part is often overlooked, and is a must-have for any Miata with an OEM hardtop! Installation is quick and easy, but can only be done with the hardtop removed from the car. Simply swing open the lock plate cover after removing the screw on the side, and then remove the two 12mm bolts holding the alignment plate in place. This will allow you to fully insert the 3 rubber plugs that hold the seal in place and trim off the excess so the alignment plate can sit properly in its channel.
