The 3/16 inch thick aluminum skid plate provides plenty of protection for your oil pan and chassis out in the wild, be it a slammed Miata traversing nasty speed bumps, random objects in the urban jungle, or a lifted Miata dodging rocks and brush in the a real jungle! Less than 7 lbs and 100% simple bolt-on installation, all hardware included, even some clever hidden fasteners that eliminate the need to drill any holes! Much larger and robust than anything else on the market. Easy drain plug access makes removal unnecessary for oil changes. Oval holes cut to prevent heat build up in the oil pan. Replaces the chassis stiffening tube from the factory on some cars, and boxes in the front subframe to further stiffen the chassis.
